Two sisters

April 14, 2016 § Leave a comment

Life met two sisters on the road
How goes, said Life
I don’t have time for you, said the elder one
My daughers are going to your ball, she said
And my husband’s waiting, there’s tea and supper to be made
So ‘how goes’ said Life to the younger one
I wish I had time for you, said she
It’s a new year, and I must help my mother
There’s to be a small feast, but my father, he doesn’t remember
Soon, we plan to go to the hills, she said
And my husband, who misses our little son, will come to us
My mother will be happier too in the hills — she was born there
My father, he still won’t remember
